The site doesn't get updated very often so it may take a while before they put it up there.
I can say that Derek doesnt like to talk about his time with Social D that much, but he respects where he's been. It's been a long time and I dont think he holds any bad feelings about anything.

The site is so rarely updated, but I bet it will eventually be on there. Plus, probably waiting for full details on the accident, and if there is a charity etc where fans can donate.
And as far as...
<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">Maybe he just couldn't be reached at the time. He's a busy guy with a lot of irons in the fire, so to speak. Also, and this is just assumption on my part so take it for what it's worth, I doubt he'd just ignore the death of a former colleague; I imagine he's made peace and seen his part in whatever disagreements and incidents which led to the demise of their working relationship. I don't think it's possible to stay sober for twenty years holding on to resentments that long.Originally posted by lostheart:

The official Social D site has photos of Brent L. in the "old School Photos" section but...no mention of his passing on the official site?!?!
Even though he left the band ages ago it would be a nice gesture to mention him because he's been part of the band at some point in time.

If they feature photos of the band from "back in the days" (with Brent L. in them) they should also feature a little note about his passing (regardless of any troubles the band members had with each other back then).
Just MHO and YMMV...
Derek finally posted a blog about Brent. I called to see how he was doing on Sunday and he sounded sad.

My heart goes out...
it's weird when someone dies..no one should be saying anything smart about Mike and what the paper said about him. No~one here knows really what Mike's thoughts are about this, just because he wasn't around for the guys interview.
When I started liking SD Brent was in the band and so this does break my heart. And it is soo sad to hear that there is no family around for him. Very sad...
the site mentions now he passed away...
